I'm Janet, owner and chief baking officer of Yellow Bird Cakery. It all started with baking for my three sons. The occasional birthday cake turned into a business, making cakes for friends and family near and far out of my home in Houston, Texas. A chance run-in with a neighbor in 2016 led to baking cakes for the Houston home team and I've been the Astros Cake lady ever since.
I bake for fun first and foremost. I like the creativity of coming up with cake designs and the smell of fresh baked cakes. All of my cakes are made from scratch in my home kitchen. My cakes have been featured locally in the Houston Chronicle as well as on Channel 2 News. I love being a part of someone's big day, whether it's a birthday celebration, baby shower or Christening; being a part of your family's celebration is something I love and take great pride in.
